How to use Big Data for a healthy lifestyle? We took the road and landed some great new concepts in two pressure cooker innovation weeks

Everybody thinks wearables are a great opportunity, but no one has yet found the ultimate smartwatch helping you become a better version of yourself. Philips R&D had been working for years on a technology measuring stress/excitement levels using galvanic skin response, but had not yet cracked the consumer offer.

With the client team we visited the US and China to solve the puzzle. Two four-day visits. On day 1 we developed new concepts in co-creation with experts. Mindfulness, health, technology, fitness, personal development, we had a great all-round mix of experts. On days 2 and 3 we created and visualised concrete concepts. On day 4 we validated and enriched the new proposals and drew our conclusions.

At the end of the two-week journey a new global proposition had emerged, which was welcomed enthusiastically and taken into further development. We can’t wait to use it ourselves!
