Dutch sports federations and NOC*NSF aim to become the most active sporting nation by 2032, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. They seek to create inclusivity both on the field and within their organisations, ensuring all employees feel valued and empowered. Currently, diversity is limited while there is increasing pressure from government and European funders who prioritise diversity and inclusion (D&I). Additionally, there are increased societal expectations to mirror the diverse communities they serve.
Fronteer partners with the sports federations and NOC*NSF to develop a comprehensive D&I strategy and action plan based on baseline data and gap analysis. We implement an integrated approach centred on five pillars: Commitment to D&I, Diverse Teams, Talent Acquisition & Retention, Inclusive Culture, and Communication & Engagement. Together, we have set ambitious yet achievable diversity targets for 2032. The strategy combines leadership commitment with ambassador roles.
The collaboration produced a clear D&I roadmap, enabling each federation to create customised plans with specific timelines and milestones. With structured support and monitoring from NOC*NSF, the federations are positioned to achieve their diversity targets and lead by example in the sports sector. This strategic framework drives ongoing transformation, ensuring the workforce by 2032 truly reflects the diversity of the Netherlands.
