InvestNL launched the programme Renovatiegolf maatschappelijk vastgoed to tackle the pressing challenge of accelerating the renovation and sustainability of public real estate. To succeed, the initiative needed more than research and plans: it required alignment and commitment across a diverse ecosystem of public and private actors.
Together with InvestNL, we built the foundation for a coalition by facilitating a two-day market consultation. Participants included sector organisations, engineers, builders, and government institutions. Our goals: align on shared objectives, validate the identified bottlenecks, co-create potential solutions, and sketch an organisational model for collective action. Through open dialogue and structured co-creation, trust and energy started to grow between stakeholders who normally operate apart.
The consultation forged the first coalition bonds within the sector. The discussions sharpened InvestNL’s programme design, validated key insights, and identified potential partners ready to move forward together. This coalition-first approach ensures that the Renovation Wave is not just an ambition on paper, but a shared movement driven by collective ownership and momentum.
