Developments in our society are moving faster and faster. For educational institutes, it is a challenge to bridge the gap with the industry and keep their programmes up-to-date. This asks for new skills and roles within the organisation that can facilitate change and co-create between education and the industry.
We started a co-creation academy with Summa College and trained teachers and other education professionals in co-creation methodologies. That way teachers themselves can develop new education in co-creation with the field.
The output of the academy was twofold. In the first place the partaking education professionals learned the skills to use co-creation for developing new vocational education. Second, during the program the participants already worked on their own case thus the result of the program was also multiple new education concepts. These ranged from new courses about cryptocurrency, digital representation, communication, excellence hairdressing and much more.
